(IRVING, TX – June 8, 2008) – Janis Smith, real estate professional and Previews International Property Specialist with the Plano office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage – Dallas/Fort Worth (CBDFW), recently celebrated her 20th year with the company.
“For over two decades Janis has made the dream of homeownership come true for numerous families and individuals,” says Sue Meyer, president and chief operating officer of CBDFW.
Today Ms. Smith still thrives on working with first time homebuyers as much as she does her seasoned relocation and luxury clients. “I enjoy getting to know my clients personally and easing the stress of buying or selling property,” she says. “I like to help people make intelligent, informed decisions by having all the answers they need.”
Specializing in pre-owned and new construction homes, Ms. Smith takes business seriously, but makes it enjoyable at the same time. She is based in the Plano office but has always helped clients throughout Collin County.
Ms. Smith has achieved several designations and certifications including the prestigious designation of Certified Residential Specialists (CRS). She also holds other designations including Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Graduate Realtor Institue (GRI), and Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES).
The real estate professional was voted CRS of the Year for the state of Texas in 2002 by her piers. She is a past president of the Texas Lone Star CRS Chapter and still serves on the Dallas CRS Regional Board of Directors, Texas Lone Star CRS Chapter Board of Directors and serves on several national CRS committees of the Council of Residential Specialists. The Council of Residential Specialists is the largest affiliate under the National Association of Realtors.
During recent May meetings held in Washington D. C., it was announced that Ms. Smith was elected to the national Board of Directors for the Council of Residential Specialists for a two-year term beginning in 2009.
“I love what I do and learning and networking with other cream of the crop agents from all over the United States and other countries just makes me stronger and wiser,” says Ms. Smith. “Anything I can do to provide top notch customer satisfaction is worth the effort to me.”
